By Kathy Gramkowski – Here She Sews Again
Kathy’s quilting journey began 30 years ago after a successful career in seamstressing and costume design. A heart bargello class at her LQS unearthed the endless creativity quilting offers. Kathy loves the design process, creating Mystery Quilts, and learning new techniques. Teaching beginners renews her creativity and helps refine her quilting skills. Recently relocating from Massachusetts to Florida, Kathy now enjoys incorporating coastal designs and fabrics into her projects, continually inspired those in the quilting community.

By Cheryl Nelson – Pink Parakeet Designs
Cheryl Nelson is the proud business owner and quilt enthusiast behind Pink Parakeet Designs. When she’s not busy turning fabric into quilts, she is plotting her next quilt design or trying to locate her phone (spoiler: it’s probably under a pile of fabric!). Each pattern is created with love and detail. You can find her creations at both local quilt shops and on Etsy, connecting her with customers around the world. Cheryl thrives on inspiration from everyday life – music, sunny days, a touch of whimsy, and…flamingos! Each pattern tells a story, and she hopes her designs inspire others to create. She enjoys engaging with fellow creators, especially at Camp Tecumseh Quilt Camp in Delphi, Indiana, where every conversation is a learning opportunity.

By Doris Rice Cedillo – Cactus Queen Quilt Co
Doris began sewing at seven in Nevada, Missouri. Upon working at a local fabric store, her love of quilting developed, and she began teaching technique classes and workshops. She bought her first longarm machine in 1990 and after raising her family, she purchased her second longarm. Known as the Quilting Queen, she has expanded to pattern design, opened Queen’s Rustic Retreat for crafting getaways, and took over X-Blocks rulers and templates. She realized her dream to open a brick-and-mortar store, Cactus Queen Quilt Co – a full-service quilt shop – in 2018. Now based in San Antonio, Texas, Doris continues to teach and inspire others with her work and expertise.

By Logan Nox – Solis Quilts
Logan is a seasoned quilter turned designer who learned to sew and quilt from his mother at a young age. With nearly a decade of experience, he developed a love for designing and exploring fabric’s versatility. Logan is continually awed by how different people can transform the same fabrics into a multitude of innovative and distinctive designs. Creating new quilt designs and modifying his existing patterns keeps him creatively engaged after work hours. Celebrating quilting’s traditional heritage while embracing modern fabrics and prints, Logan’s work reflects the evolving world we live in.
